Torpedo made a comeback from 2 goals deficite against Severstal but finally lost the match - 4:5 (1:1, 1:2, 2:2).
After defending during shorthanded playing in the opening period (including three-on-five format), Torpedo opened the score on the eighth minute. Yegor Vinogradov and Nikita Artamonov went two-on-one: after good pass by partner, Nikita scored 1st goal of that match. “Severstal” equalized not long before thebreak, whila teams were playing ‘4x4’.
At the beginning of second period, the teams exchanged goals, and both were scored as a result of shootouts (Mikhail Abramov was successful for Torpedo). In the end of period, home team took the lead using powerplay.
Third period became a real thriller: at the beginning, the home team's lead grew to two goals after one more powerplay realization. But almost immediately Nikita Artamonov answered, and in the middle of period Mikhail Abramov equalized the score. Both opponents tried to make a victory, not putting the question to overtime. Finally 2.5 minutes before the end of third period Severstal took the lead again. Torpedo replaced the goalie with a sixth field player, played the final seconds with six against four, but did not change the result.
